Ingredients Needed:

  • 1/2 cup plus 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 cup red seedless grapes
  • 1 cup green seedless grapes
  • 2 cups Concord grape juice
  • 1/4 cup brandy
  • 1 bottle cold pinot grigio
  • 4 sprigs fresh mint
  • 1 lemon, sliced
  • 1 lime, sliced
  • 1 orange, halved and sliced

How To Make Fresh Grape Sangria?

  1. Make the Simple Syrup: Heat ½ cup sugar and ½ cup water in a small pot over medium heat. Boil for 1 minute, swirling to dissolve the sugar. Let it cool.
  2. Muddle the Grapes: Add red and green grapes with 2 tbsp sugar to a large pitcher and muddle until crushed.
  3. Mix the Sangria: Stir in grape juice and brandy, then pour in the pinot grigio. Taste and add simple syrup if you want it sweeter.
  4. Add Fruits & Mint: Stir in mint sprigs, lemon, lime, and orange slices for extra flavor.
  5. Chill & Serve: Refrigerate for at least 4 hours. Serve over ice in large wine glasses and enjoy!

Recipe Tips:

  • Use Fresh and Ripe Grapes: Fresh grapes give the best flavor. If they are too sour, the sangria may taste tangy.
  • Chill Everything Before Mixing: Use cold wine, juice, and fruit to keep the sangria fresh and crisp without needing too much ice.
  • Let It Rest for 4+ Hours: The flavors blend better when the sangria sits in the fridge for at least 4 hours. Overnight is even better!
  • Adjust Sweetness to Taste: If you like it less sweet, add less simple syrup. If it’s too strong, add a little extra grape juice.
  • Serve with Plenty of Ice: Pour the sangria over ice right before serving to keep it cold and refreshing. Don’t add ice directly to the pitcher, or it will water down the flavors.

How To Store Leftovers?

Let the leftover sangria sit until it reaches room temperature. Then, transfer it to a sealed pitcher and store it in the fridge for up to 2 days. The fruit will soften over time, but the flavors will still be good.
