Recipe Tips:

  • Grill the Halloumi on Medium Heat: Make sure your grill is medium-hot to get perfect grill marks without overcooking the cheese.
  • Use Fresh Oregano: Fresh oregano adds a burst of flavor that dried oregano can’t match, so try to use fresh if possible.
  • Grill the Lemon: Grilling the lemon enhances its flavor, making the juice more fragrant and smoky when squeezed over the Halloumi.
  • Serve Immediately: Halloumi is best served hot and fresh off the grill for a crispy exterior and soft interior.
  • Don’t Overcook the Cheese: Halloumi should be golden brown on both sides, but avoid grilling too long, as it can become tough.

How To Store & Reheat Leftovers?

  • Refrigerate: Allow any leftover Grilled Halloumi to cool to room temperature, then store it in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 days.
  • Reheat: Heat the Halloumi on a grill or in a pan for 1-2 minutes on each side until hot.
